Beekeeper workshop for primary students

Our Primary Year 6 students have been inquiring into the life cycle of flowers and the process of pollination as part of their Outdoor Learning Program.

A local beekeeper came over to give a workshop on how “kept bees” are taken care of, how the colony works, how beekeepers keep themselves safe and the tools they use. And our students got to try 5 different types of honey from his apiary!
