The International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP) is a pre-university course designed for students aged 16-19. We welcome day students (who live in the region) as well as residential students.
The Career-related Programme allows students to choose courses with a particular focus on their future career of choice. At UWC Maastricht, we have designed one very innovative pathway in Sustainable Business and one in Music. Besides academic rigour, the IBCP will focus on personal and professional skills development and relevant service and work-related experiences.
Students follow a broad based academic curriculum aimed at giving them the knowledge, skills and understanding to allow them to prepare for life after UWC. Students choose a number of IB Diploma subjects, complete the career-related study and develop a broad range of personal and professional skills.
UWC Maastricht offers many co- and extra-curricular programmes. From sports, creativity clubs, music lessons and services to student-led initiatives. Students develop leadership and collaboration skills, and participate in meaningful activities throughout the school and the Maastricht community.
We welcome both residential and day students to our International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme. Residential students should apply via UWC International Office or via the National Committee of their country, day students can apply directly to our school (up to one year before the start date and up until 1 October).
Every year, we welcome 200 students to live on the campus. These residential students are housed in the residence buildings. They live there in small groups, with four students sharing a bedroom. Students come together in the Mensa for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
UWC Maastricht relies on parental fees to offer its robust educational programme. The Career-related Programme school fee is €11.460 for day students (school year 2024-2025). If you want to be a residential Career-related Programme student, please contact UWC International for more information. There are scholarships available for this track.
