Safeguarding

The Board and Leadership Team of UWC Maastricht affirm their commitment to the well being and safety of all members of the UWC Maastricht community. 

That is why the school provides training and guidance to ensure the full implementation of the safeguarding policies and procedures. 

Safeguarding Team

UWC Maastricht has a Safeguarding Team. Anyone with safeguarding queries or concerns is encouraged to contact a member of this team. All matters will be handled with sensitivity and the utmost care.

The team can be reached at safeguarding@uwcmaastricht.nl. Messages sent to this address are initially received by a small group of team members (Head of College, the Director of Primary and a Counsellor). They will assess the situation and decide how to proceed, involving others if necessary.

Confidential Advisors

In addition to the Safeguarding Team, UWC Maastricht has Confidential Advisors / Trust People available for students, staff, parents, alumni and any other (former) member of the UWCM community. They provide a safe space to discuss concerns, whether personal or professional, offering guidance, support and, when needed, referrals to appropriate resources. Conversations with Confidential Advisors are handled with discretion, ensuring a supportive and respectful environment.
